发现并证明了整系数超平面配置的拟多项式系数的比较关系，第一次引入莫比乌斯共厄地概念，从而给出了特征多项式的互反律并对经典的Tutte多项式的卷积公式给出一致的证明，在计数组合方面，结合Young tableaux的相关理论来研究了pattern avoidance的计数，第一次给出了不含123结构的置换在给定的逆序数情形下的计数公式。相关研究成果并发表在组合数学权威期刊J. Combin. Theory, Ser. A和J. Combin. Theory, Ser. B上。

主持国家自然科学基金青年基金项目一项， 主持中央高校基金“湖南大学青年教师成长计划资助”一项。
