先后在计算流体力学(Computational Fluid Dynamics，CFD)、全球大气模式(Global Atmospheric Model)和油藏模拟(Reservoir Simulation)等重要应用领域选择有突出代表性意义的典型问题开展科学计算研究，并取得了若干原创性成果。以第一作者在《SIAM Journal on Scientific Computing》(两篇)、《Journal of Computational Physics》(一篇)、《Journal of Scientific Computing》(三篇)和《International Journal for NumericalMethods in Engineering》(一篇)等国际期刊发表多篇论文，其中二区以上10篇。

主持国家自然科学基金三项：面上基金(11571100)，青年基金(11201137)和天元基金(1126196)
